Faculty Meet & Greet and Department Lab Tours

Join a student guide to take a tour through the department, visit Aerospace Engineering labs to see some of our latest research, new facilities, and experience all of the exciting new changes happening on the engineering side of campus including the brand-new IDEA Factory. Before, or after your tour, say hello to familiar faculty and introduce yourself to some new ones. Light refreshments will be available.

Faculty Meet and Greet with Lab Tour: Friday, October 18 from 10:00AM - 12:00PM, meet in the Clark Hall Forum.
Lab Tours: Saturday, October 19 from 10:00AM - 12:00PM, meet in the Clark Hall Forum.

Recruit Fellow Terps at the Aerospace & Mechanical Engineering Career Fair

Is your employer looking for some outstanding new Terp talent? Consider attending the 2024 Aerospace & Mechanical Engineering Career Fair October 18 | 12:00PM - 4:00PM. Engineering Career Services hosts an Aerospace & Mechanical engineering career fair each fall. We host 40 employers and see an average of 250 to 300 students at these fairs. Employers will have the opportunity to meet with undergraduate and graduate students, all of whom are seeking either internships or full-time employment.

Following the Career Fair, the department will also be hosting a student networking session from 4:00PM - 5:00PM.  If you are interested in participating, please contact Mary Pat Morgan at: mpmorgan@umd.edu.

Join the Maryland Engineering Homecoming Tailgate

Engineering Terps are invited to celebrate this time-honored homecoming tradition with fellow alumni two hours prior to Maryland kicking off against the USC Trojans (game time TBD). Pre-registered guests will receive complimentary access to light tailgate fare, two (2) drink tickets, and seating under an open-air tent. A cash bar will also be available. New this year, the event includes family-friendly activities sponsored by Maryland Applied Graduate Engineering. Please Note: Registration does not include tickets to the game or parking passes. Tickets to the game and parking passes must be purchased separately.
