Teamwork is a crucial skill in today's workplace and the majority of all employers rank teamwork in their top 5 "must-have" skill sets.  So what makes a team effective?  Are there shared characteristics common to strong teams?  How do you achieve team synergy?  What are the common pitfalls?  What can you do as an individual to ensure team success?

Teamwork also plays a critical role in your education as more and more of your coursework and extra-curricular activities include team challenges.  From ENES 100 to Capstone classes to Terps Racing to the Solar Decathalon, your success depends on how well you function on a team.

We are thrilled to have George Halow of Ford Motor's Global Product Planning & Strategy group lead us in a discussion of these topics.  George is a proud engineering Terp from Maryland with an MBA from INSEAD, a Master's from Cornell and too many other accomplishments to mention here.  But most importantly he is a dynamic, engaging, and thought-provoking speaker.  You won't want to miss this unique opportunity!

All class levels and all engineering majors are welcome.
