President

President - Eric Frizzell
Eric Frizzell

Eric is a senior in the Aerospace Engineering Honors program at the University of Maryland, College Park, and a research assistant at the UMD Center for Orbital Debris Education and Research. Eric has worked as a Systems Engineering Intern, Data Acquisition Consultant, and Desktop Support Specialist and he received his BS in Economics from the University of Michigan. This past summer Eric received AEROS funding to support his research into speeding conjunction assessment of orbital debris using parallel processing and GPUs. Eric is a recipient of the 2015 GDF Suez Energy Generation - Chuck Edwards Memorial Scholarship. After graduation, Eric will pursue his graduate studies or a career in the commercial space industry. He is passionate about opening the solar system to human exploration and finding solutions in space to meet energy needs on Earth.

Vice President

Vice President - Patrick Washington
Patrick Washington

Patrick Washington is a senior aerospace engineering student in the University Honors program at the University of Maryland. In addition to his role as Vice President for Sigma Gamma Tau, he is also the Secretary of AIAA, a member of Tau Beta Pi, and former pitcher for the Club Baseball team. Patrick has been working on soft robotics in both Dr. Paley's and Dr. Wereley's labs. After graduation, he plans to continue his graduate studies in Dynamics and Controls.

Secretary - David Snyder
David Snyder

David Snyder is a junior aerospace engineering student at the University of Maryland. In addition to serving as Secretary of Sigma Gamma Tau, he is a member of the University Honors Program and the Aerospace Honors Program. He participates on the Club Cycling and Club Table Tennis teams, with further interests in music and chess. His current aerospace research centers on vortex sensing for formation flight in Dr. Paley's lab.
Treasurer
Treasurer - Bradford Jones
Bradford Jones


Bradford Jones is a senior aerospace engineering student at the University of Maryland. In addition to his role as Treasurer for Sigma Gamma Tau, he is also the Treasurer of AIAA and a member of Tau Beta Pi. Bradford has worked for Textron Aviation as an airframe engineering intern for the Cessna Aircraft Company in Wichita, KS. He has also worked for Textron Systems’ Lightweight Small Arms Technologies program as a mechanical engineering intern in Hunt Valley, MD.

Initiation Officer

Initiation Officer - William Whitmore
William Whitmore

William Whitmore is a junior aerospace engineering student. He grew up in Silver Spring MD and attended the German School Washington DC. At the University of Maryland, he is a research assistant at the Glenn L. Martin Wind Tunnel, and a member of the aerospace Honors Program and the Honors Humanities program. Outside of class, William enjoys building models of aircraft and ships, as well as watching films.
